Burial will be at 2 p.m., Friday, in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia, KS. Doris Cecelia Baustian Collins Cole was born April 30, 1928, in Lucas, Kansas, the daughter of Bryan W. and Olive L. (Sowers) Baustian. She moved to Concordia, Kansas in 1942 where she graduated from Concordia High School in 1946. She married Marion L. Collins on April 6, 1947. He died in 1974. On January 15, 1977, she was united in marriage to J.V. Cole. He died in 2010. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Washington, a past president of UMW, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, a member of Emmons Unit of the Washington County Extension, a past District Director of the Northeast Area of the Kansas Extension Homemakers Council. She owned and operated a catering business in Concordia, Kansas for years following the death of her husband Marion. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Dean Baustian (killed in the Battle of the Bulge in 1945), her first husband Marion L. Collins in 1974, and her husband James V. Cole in 2010. She is survived by one son, Bryan P. Collins, his wife Karen and three children and two grandchildren of Seattle, five step children James K. Cole, his wife Trudy and their four children and ten grandchildren of Washington, Sandra Hood, her husband Mike and her two children of Washington, Jon Cole and his wife Heaven and their two children of Washington, Jeff Cole and his wife Camey and their three children and his one child of Minden, Nebraska, and Jerre Cole and his wife Kim and their two children of Highland, Kansas. A memorial fund is established to the United Methodist Church Kitchen Remodel or KSDS. Contributions may be sent in care of Ward Funeral Home, Washington, Kansas.
