She married Larry B. Cox, Dec. 31, 1958, in Onawa. They moved several times before settling down outside Magnolia, where she raised seven children, and two granddaughters who called her "Mom." Doris was born Mar. 26, 1941 in Harrison County, near Little Sioux, to Newton Harrison and Ruby Ella (Young) Wood. She married Larry B. Cox, Dec. 31, 1958, in Onawa. Survivors include: her special friend, Allen (Ole) Olson, Magnolia; sister, Pearl Hupp, Onawa; brother, Stanley Wood, Blencoe; three sons, Kevin Cox and his friend, Carol Heine, Council Bluffs; Dwight Cox and his wife, Brenda; Richard Cox and his friend, Cindy Conyers, all of Mondamin; daughter, Debra Brown and her husband, Anthony; and daughter-in-law, Linda Cox, Logan; granddaughters, Melanie Cox and Emily Walker and here husband, James, all of Logan; 24 other grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one on the way; many other relatives and countless friends. Funeral Services will be held today (Friday, Apr. 17) at the Logan Memorial Chapel, Pastor Ron Riley, officiant. Honorary Bearers will be: Allen (Ole) Olson, Anthony Brown, Jim Olson, Mark Long, James Walker III, Gail Frazier, and Les Olson. Casket Bearers will be: Zachary Cox, Ryan Cox, Steven Cox, John Cox, Josh Cox, and Christopher Cox. Interment will be in the Magnolia Cemetery. The family would like to invite everyone to a time of lunch and fellowship at the Christian Church, Logan, following the committal service at the cemetery.
