Glenn, 90, of Hiawatha, died Monday afternoon, March 1, 2010, at Maple Heights Nursing Home in Hiawatha where she had been a resident since January 2008. Doris was born at Robinson, July 14, 1919, one of four children of Denver and Goldie McGee Bussell and was a lifelong Brown County resident. She grew up at Robinson, attended schools there, later graduating from high school there. She was married to Karl T. Glenn, March 30, 1936, at Hiawatha. Glenn, 90, of Hiawatha, died Monday afternoon, March 1, 2010, at Maple Heights Nursing Home in Hiawatha where she had been a resident since January 2008. Doris was born at Robinson, July 14, 1919, one of four children of Denver and Goldie McGee Bussell and was a lifelong Brown County resident. She grew up at Robinson, attended schools there, later graduating from high school there. She was married to Karl T. Glenn, March 30, 1936, at Hiawatha. They farmed and raised livestock near Robinson for many years prior to moving northeast of Hiawatha where they farmed until they retired 1978 and moved to town. He died December 9, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Marilyn Johansen March 16, 1995, a son Charles Glenn in January 1996, two brothers: Stanley, Francis, and a sister Nonie. Survivors include a son Larry (Bernice) Glenn of Batesville, Arkansas; son in law Roy (Lorie) Johansen of rural Hiawatha; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter. Funeral services are planned for 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Hiawatha.
