Description	:	ANDERSON- Doris Griffith Elrod, 72, of Anderson, widow of the late Clinton David Elrod, died Friday, February 9, 2007 at the Hospice House. Born November 9, 1934 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late John Frank and Ethel Chamblee Griffith. She was a graduate of Girls High and the Carolina School of Commerce. Born November 9, 1934 in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late John Frank and Ethel Chamblee Griffith. She was a graduate of Girls High and the Carolina School of Commerce. She was a retired office manager from Electric City Printing. She was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church where she was a member of the Hope Sunday School Class, Prospectors, Lillie Keasler Circle and the Clowns for Christ Ministry. Surviving are her two daughters: Sherry Holder of Greenville and Vickie Edwards and her husband, Dwight of Anderson; grandchildren: Travis Holder, Savannah Holder, and Candice Edwards; and one brother, Roy F. Griffith and his wife, Joyce of Anderson. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Elrod and a grandson, Chase Holder. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, February 11 at New Prospect Baptist Church conducted by Dr. Tony Smith and Rev. Tom Turner. Burial will be in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 PM Saturday at Sullivan-King Mortuary, Northeast Chapel, 3205 Hwy 81 North. The family is at the home of Vickie and Dwight Edwards, 1501 Hunters Trail, Anderson. Flowers are omitted; memorials may be made to New Prospect Baptist Church, 2503 Whitehall Rd., Anderson, SC 29625 or Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.
