Description	:	Doris Louise Hunnicutt, the daughter of Soloman and Estella (Pollard), Zehr was born at Aurora, Nebraska on September 17, 1915 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on May 25, 2008, at the age of 92. She grew up in Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School in 1935. Following high school she taught Country School #15 in 1936. Doris then attended Lincoln School of Commerce. Read More	Doris Louise Hunnicutt, the daughter of Soloman and Estella (Pollard), Zehr was born at Aurora, Nebraska on September 17, 1915 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on May 25, 2008, at the age of 92. She grew up in Aurora and graduated from Aurora High School in 1935. Following high school she taught Country School #15 in 1936. Doris then attended Lincoln School of Commerce. She then worked at a Lincoln insurance company for several years. She moved back to Aurora and went to work for the Hamilton County Home Extension Service. Doris was united in marriage to Loren Hunnicutt of Giltner on October 17, 1948 at the First Christian Church by Rev. Herbert Roszhart, Sr. She enjoyed life on the farm. In 1968 they built a new home southwest of Aurora. Doris was a member of the Pleasant View Bible Church where she served in several capacities. She was on the Ladies Aid, was a Sunday School and Bible School teacher, and was the church pianist. She enjoyed ceramics and knitting. Doris especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Leta Kremer and Tom Donley, whom Loren and Doris helped raise. Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Loren of Aurora; daughter Vicki (Craig) Widdel of Aurora; son Rob (Jill) Hunnicutt of Aurora; grandchildren, Chad (Wendy) Cox, Eric and Ashley Hunnicutt; and two great-grandchildren, Chance and Brianna Cox.
