Thursday at the Platt funeral home at Edgewood for Miss Doris Moser, 18, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Moser, of six miles northeast of Greeley, whose death occurred Tuesday afternoon in a local hospital as the result of drinking lye. Miss Moser, who told relatives that she was despondent because of a love affair, was employed at the Harold Ingles home in Greeley. Members of the Ingles family heard Miss Moser in another room early Monday morning, and upon investigation, she told them that she had drunk lye. First aid was given her by a Greeley physician, and she was removed by ambulance Monday afternoon to a Manchester hospital, where her death occurred. Rev. Howard Robison of Greeley and Rev. Elmer Mueller of Guttenberg will have charge of the funeral services. Burial will be made in the Brown cemetery near Colesburg. Doris Margaret Moser, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Moser, was born near Garber. la., Sept. 9, 1922. She attended rural schools in Clayton, county and practically all of her life was spent there. Surviving are her parents, one sister, Mae Moser, all of six miles northeast of Greeley, and one brother, Donald Moser, who is in government service and now stationed at Fort Riley. Kan.
