Description	:	Obit: Doris Marie Roepke was born March 7, 1928, the daughter of Mr. Frank Roepke and his wife, Laura, nee Dawson. All her life she called Grand Meadow Township her home, having been born in the home of her parents 1/2 mile south of her present home. Read More	Obit: Doris Marie Roepke was born March 7, 1928, the daughter of Mr. Frank Roepke and his wife, Laura, nee Dawson. All her life she called Grand Meadow Township her home, having been born in the home of her parents 1/2 mile south of her present home. As an infant she was brought to holy baptism, and thus became a member of God's family, and an heir of eternal salvation. Doris was a member of Trinity Sunday school. Her secular education she received at Grand Meadow Consolidated School where she has made many friends who will greatly miss her. About seven months ago she became ill, not severely, but from time to time she was under the doctor's care. However, instead of improving, her condition became worse and in March she was taken to the Lutheran Hospital in Sioux City. Since then she has been a patient at the Sioux Valley Hospital several times. All that medical science and human love could do was done for her and sometimes it seemed as though she was improving, yet her strength was slowly ebbing away. Last Wednesday morning, August 9, 1942, she passed away to join her brother Kenneth who passed October 9, 1936. Surviving are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Roepke, her brother, Dale, and her sister, Margaret Ann, her Grandmother & Grandfather Roepke and her Grandmother Dawson who was with her so much.
