Description	:	Doris Bowen Doris Bowen, 70, a resident of Route 1, Centerville, died Aug. 18, 1985, in St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital, Centerville. Born July 24, 1915, in Centerville, he was the son of William and Alta Scritchfield Bowen. He was reared in the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Scritchfield. He was a retired farmer, having farmed in the Cincinnati area for nearly 50 years. He was married to Ilin Cochran in Centerville Aug. 27, 1938, and she survives. Read More	Doris Bowen Doris Bowen, 70, a resident of Route 1, Centerville, died Aug. 18, 1985, in St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital, Centerville. Born July 24, 1915, in Centerville, he was the son of William and Alta Scritchfield Bowen. He was reared in the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Scritchfield. He was a retired farmer, having farmed in the Cincinnati area for nearly 50 years. He was married to Ilin Cochran in Centerville Aug. 27, 1938, and she survives. Other survivors include four sons, Jerry Bowen, Route 2, Centerville; Jimmy Bowen, Route 1, Cincinnati; John Bowen, Spencer, la.; and Jack Bowen, Centerville; 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one sister, Betty Bielke, Stillman Valley, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Johnson-Lange Funeral Home, with the Rev. Raleigh Gordon officiating, assisted by Pastor Donnell Logsdon. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati. Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. A memorial to the West Christian Church in Cincinnati has been established.
