During the Civil War he used his real name of Andrew Jackson Westerfield Sr. He had three wives in Rush County, Indiana (Mary Amy Crystal, Eleanor “Nellie” Edwards and Ann Frances Edwards). He used the name Jackson Westerfield in all three marriages. He also had five children between his second and third wife. iv. John Westervelt (101245733) (b. February 2, 1827 in Ross, Butler, Ohio; d. December 29, 1894 in West Liberty, Howard, Indiana. Family history indicates that he was born at 8:00 in the morning.
