Abraham Cornelius Westervelt moved from Saddle River, Bergen, New Jersey to Ross, Butler, Ohio in about 1816. Abraham settled in Ross, Butler County, Ohio in about 1817. He married Doritha Anima "Dolly" Shaw (1802-1834) on July 23, 1818 in Butler County, Ohio. After Dolly's death, as a widower with children, Abraham married a second time in Ross, Butler, Ohio and remained there until after 1850. Abraham and his second wife later relocated to Harrison, Darke County, Ohio. Abraham Cornelius Westervelt’s parents were Cornelius Jurjaen Westervelt ( 1760-1816 ) and Maria Roblin Westervelt (1763- ) . They were married in Harrington, Bergen County, New Jersey in May, 1783 (her family was in Bergen County). Shortly after marriage they relocated to Saddle River, Bergen, New Jersey where they had four children. Saddle River, Bergen County later became North Haledon, Passaic County in 1837. They remained in the same geographical location until their deaths. SIBLINGS: The four children of Cornelius Jurjaen Westervelt and Maria Roblin Westervelt were: i. Fortunately, he remained married to his second wife, Mary Ann (Morris) Dennis Fuller Westervelt, since 1834 and she appeared in both Censuses as well as the 1850 Census for Ross, Butler, Ohio with him. Abraham Cornelius Westervelt resided in Ross, Butler, Ohio until after 1850. The 1820 Census in Ross, Butler, Ohio shows him using the name Abe Westervelt. He married Doritha Anima "Dolly" Shaw (1802-1834) on July 23, 1818 in Butler County, Ohio. He resided in Ross, Butler, Ohio until after 1850. Abraham Cornelius Westervelt, a widower with children, married a second time to Mary Ann (Morris) Dennis Fuller 1809-1876) a widow with children on May 14, 1834 in Butler County, Ohio. The 1860 Census shows Abraham Westerfield and Mary Ann (Morris) Dennis Fuller had relocated to Harrison, Darke, Ohio sometime before 1860. The 1860 and 1870 Censuses show Abraham Westerfield living in Harrison, Darke, Ohio (with his wife and three grandchildren) and born in New York. August 20, 1886 in Decatur County, Indiana). She was a widow of Jacob Henry Boring (b. Baltimore, Maryland (Independent Cities); d. March 28, 1834 in Rush County, Indiana). His death certificate is listed in Rush County, Indiana under "Jack Westerfield" as he frequently used the name Jackson Westerfield since childhood. During the Civil War he used his real name of Andrew Jackson Westerfield Sr. He had three wives in Rush County, Indiana (Mary Amy Crystal, Eleanor “Nellie” Edwards and Ann Frances Edwards). He used the name Jackson Westerfield in all three marriages. He also had five children between his second and third wife. iv. John Westervelt (101245733) (b.
