Description	:	Dorotha Adeline Moys Gault passed away April 17, 2012 at the Whitman Hospital in Colfax. She was 94. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, May 19th at 10:30 AM at the Colfax United Methodist Church. She grew up on the family ranch near Almota and graduated from Colfax High School. Dorotha attended Washington State College and completed her Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts. She married George Gault May 15, 1942 at Onecho. Dorotha joined George in Berkley, California where he worked as a chemist for Standard Oil. They started their family in California. The Gaults moved back to the Moys ranch near Almota where Dorotha kept busy as a homemaker and mother. Dorotha was the 4th generation to live on the farm homesteaded in 1877. The farm was her Tara (Gone with the Wind). She was known for her great meals during harvest and haying season which always included fresh items from her garden. While her kids were growing up she was active in the PTA and had served as its President. She was also a 4-H leader and Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the Good Will Club; she always grew a huge garden and absolutely had a "green thumb" when it came to her vegetables. She liked to can and always stored up a huge bounty. She and George "retired" from the farm in 1979 and moved to a home right on the Snake River near Asotin, Washington. They later moved to Pullman for a time and then returned to Colfax. George and Dorotha pulled their camper trailer all over the United States and had a great time doing so. They also travelled extensively all over the world visiting too many countries to list. At the time of her death Dorotha had been residing at The Courtyard for the past three years. She is survived by her three daughters; Sydney Jenkins of Renton, WA, Leslie LeMaster of Brinnon, WA and Georgie Leinweber of Colfax, WA; 8 grandchildren and 8 ½ great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2010 and by a granddaughter, Jodi Lynn LeMaster.
