Description	:	George was born in Seattle to George Alexander Gault Sr. and Rosanna Lyon Gault. The family moved to Lind and to the Spokane Valley prior to moving to Colfax when he was a junior in high school. After graduating from Colfax High School he went to Whitman College, where he graduated with a bachelor of science in chemistry. He went on to do graduate work at Washington State College. Read More	George was born in Seattle to George Alexander Gault Sr. and Rosanna Lyon Gault. The family moved to Lind and to the Spokane Valley prior to moving to Colfax when he was a junior in high school. After graduating from Colfax High School he went to Whitman College, where he graduated with a bachelor of science in chemistry. He went on to do graduate work at Washington State College. He worked as a chemist for Standard Oil in El Cerito, Calif. He volunteered after work to roll fuel and asphalt barrels onto ships to support the war efforts. While in California he got his private pilot's license. In 1943, George married Dorotha Moys and they made their home in Berkeley, Calif. In 1946, the couple came to Colfax to farm the family farm where they lived until their retirement. While farming, George also worked at Washington State University in the chemistry department and later became manager for Almota Elevator Company when it first became a river terminal. Also during this time he received the Conservation Farmer Award for the state of Washington in 1953. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Shriners, Farm Bureau and Washington Association of Wheat Growers. Survivors not listed per findagrave policy. Lewiston Tribune November 4, 2010
