Description	:	Final Rites Held For Mrs. Kenneth Miller Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. in the Presbyterian Church Friday for Mrs. Kenneth Miller, life-time resident of Hand county who passed away at the Miller Memorial Hospital Tuesday, June 28, following an extended illness. The Rev. Tyra Talley had charge of the services and pallbearers were Ben Scherr, Gerald Palmer, Kenneth Witte, Alvin Nissen and Vern Colins. Burial was in the GAR Cemetery. Dorothea Halbig was born July 26, 1899 in South Hand county. She attended rural elementary school and was graduated from Miller High School with the class of 1918. She attended college at the University of South Dakota at Vermillion and spent some years teaching Home Economics at Gary ad at Sleepy Eye, Minn. She was married to Kenneth Miller on June 5, 1930. They spent some years on his farm in hand county. Later they moved to Miller where she assisted her husband in his propane gas and machinery business. After her husband’s death Mrs. Miller continued to manage the business until three years ago. Survivors include two sisters, Jessie Halbig and Mrs. Maurice (Clarice) Nelson; one brother, James Halbig, all of Miller; and one nephew, two nieces, and three grandnieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Miller, in 1962; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Halbig; one sister, Lillis; and two brothers, Fred and Casper.
