Description	:	Funeral services for Dorothea I. Thompson were held today, Wednesday, July28, 2004 at St. Ludger Catholic Church in Creighton. Father Doug Scheinost officiated the 10:30 service with interment in St. Ludger Cemetery in Creighton. Dorothea I. Thompson ws born May 2, 1912 at Blue River, Wisconsin to John and Maude (Hood) Gasser. She attended school in Blue River and Boscobel, Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisocnsin at Madison in 1936. She married James R. Thompson on November 21, 1942. They lived in Texas, where Jim was serving in the US Army during WWII. Thompson ws born May 2, 1912 at Blue River, Wisconsin to John and Maude (Hood) Gasser. She attended school in Blue River and Boscobel, Wisconsin. She graduated from the University of Wisocnsin at Madison in 1936. She married James R. Thompson on November 21, 1942. They lived in Texas, where Jim was serving in the US Army during WWII. They settled in Creighton, where she lived until her death. She worked as a homemaker and for several years she worked as a librarian at the Creighton Library. Dorothea was a member of St. Ludger Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America for over 50 years and served on the Creighton Library Board for a time. Survivors include daughters, Jeanne Henery of Norfolk, Judy Quinlan and her husband, Pat of Wesminster, CO; sons, Paul and Barbara Thompson of Columbus, John and Ruth Thompson of Brandon, Mississippi, Joe and Diane Thompson of Lincoln; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Faye LaFayette of Minneapolis, MN and Elaine Ferson of Poulsbo, WA.
