Dorothy was born Marh 14, 1916, in Hysham, to Bertha Barr and J,C. Douglas. She lived in Hysham until 1933, when she moved into Billings and was employed at OK Café. In 1937, Dorothy married Les Mennie, and they made their home in Billings. She worked as a beautician, and then as an inspector for the State Board of Cosmetology until she retired. She was called Doug by her friends and Adelene by her family. Survivors include son Doug (June0 Mennie of Colstrip, MT., and thier children,; a son Mick (Connie) Mennie of Billings and their children; a sister Janice Hobbs of Billings; 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Les, a daughter, Sharon;' three brothers and three sisters. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Smith's Funeral Chapel Downtown. Interment will be in Sunset memorial Gardens. A special thank you to all the caring staff at St, John's Nursing Home.
