She was born in Monticello on June 28, 1921, to Claude and Devon Adassas Schlegelmilch Cowger. She married Robert Eugene Cochran on Aug. 25, 1945. He died Nov. 12, 1989. She was a 1940 graduate of Monticello High School and a graduate of Methodist Hospital of Nursing, Indianapolis. She was a registered nurse at the Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, and then worked at the Arnett Clinic, Lafayette. She attended Trinity United Methodist Church, Lima, Ohio. She was a devoted mom and grandma. She enjoyed her rose garden. She collected dolls. Survivors include daughter, Libby A. (Bob) Cupp, Lima, Ohio; brothers, John (Myrna) Cowger, West Lafayette, and James Cowger, Monticello; grandsons, Matthew R. (Desta) Cupp, Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Ryan W. Cupp, attending Ohio Northern University and the University of Lampeter in Wales; sister-in-law, Lois Cowger, Monticello. Brothers, Richard Cowger and Joseph Cowger, and sisters, Margaret McArtor and Rosemary Carr, are deceased. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, at Chiles & Sons-Laman Shawnee Chapel, and from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, at Trinity United Methodist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at the church with Pastor David Harris officiating. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Boy Scouts of America, Black Swamp Council, 752 W.
