Dailey & Son, PA, 615 E. Main St. Mrs. Gigeous' pastor, the Rev. R. Benjamin Jones, Emmitsburg Presbyterian Church, officiated. Bearers were James Sanders, John Davis, Kermit Glass, Richard Weedon, Guy Baker Jr. and Donald Stitely. Interment was in Presbyterian Cemetery, Emmitsburg. Mrs. Gigeous was the wife of Ray Freeze Gigeous. Born May 15, 1918, in Cranberry, N.C., Mrs. Gigeous was a daughter of the late James Lester and Ida Mae Minnick Nester. A member of the Emmitsburg Presbyterian Church, Mrs. Gigeous served as church treasurer and was a former member of the churchchoir. She was a past treasurer of the Catoctin Mountain Tourist Council. She was employed at the Thurmont Bank for more than 20 years until her retirement in March, 1983. Surviving, besides her husband, are two stepsons, Kenneth R. Gigeous, Emmitsburg, and Larry L. Gigeous, Taneytown, and four step grandchildren."
