He was the husband of the late Dorothy Ann Nester Gigeous, who predeceased him March 9, 1984. Born May 10, 1916 in Thurmont, Mr. Gigeous was a son of the late Samuel and Orpha Freeze Gigeous. Mr. Gigeous was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Emmitsburg, where he served on the board of trustees, and was a member of Tyrian Lodge No. 205 A. F. & A. Masons of Emmitsburg, and a former member of the Sertoma Club of Thurmont. Mr. Gigeous had farmed his entire lifetime in the Thurmont and Emmitsburg areas. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth R. Gigeous, Emmitsburg, and Larry L. Gigeous, Taneytown; four grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Margaret G. Yingling, Hanover, Pa., and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Gigeous is at the Thurmont funeral home of Robert E. Dailey & Son, 615 E. Main St., where friends may call from 12 noon until 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5 at the funeral home, with the Rev. R. Benjamin Jones officiating. Interment will be in the Presbyterian Cemetery, Emmitsburg." Main St. Mr. Gigeous' pastor, the Rev. R. Benjamin Jones, Emmitsburg Presbyterian Church, officiated. Bearers were M. Edward Crouse, Charles E. Fisher,John Davis, James Sanders, Richard Weedon and Thomas D. Shorb. Interment was in Presbyterian Cemetery, Emmitsburg. Mr. Gigeous was the husband of the late Dorothy Ann Nester Gigeous."
