Description	:	Dorothy A. Schinzel, 68, of Sutton, died Thursday, November 25, 2004 as a result of a traffic accident in Lancaster County. Dorothy was born July 15, 1936 near Palisade in Hitchcock County, the youngest of four children, of Fred W. and Eunice (Baughman) Dicke. She attended rural school District No. 13 in Hitchcock County and graduated from Stratton High School in Stratton. Dorothy was born July 15, 1936 near Palisade in Hitchcock County, the youngest of four children, of Fred W. and Eunice (Baughman) Dicke. She attended rural school District No. 13 in Hitchcock County and graduated from Stratton High School in Stratton. She then received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics at the University of Nebraska in 1958. She was active in the InterVarsity Christian Fellowship while at the University. On May 26, 1958, she was married to Leonard Luksik. Dorothy went back to Law College and graduated from the University of Nebraska Law College in 1986. She practices law in Loup City and Sutton since then. On December 5, 1987, she was united in marriage to Dean A. Schinzel at the Hope Reformed Church in Sutton. He preceded her in death on July 26, 1999. Dorothy was an active member of the Hope Reformed Church and a member of the Nebraska Bar Association. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, Helen Nilson; and two brothers, Leland and Louis Dicke. She is survived by two daughters, Diane Ellis and husband Dave and Carolyn Strathman; son Melvin Luksik; five grandchildren, Crystal and Julie Ellis; Jacob, Stephanie and Ashley Strathman; sister-in-law Edna Dicke; nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Monday, November 29 at 10 a.m. at the Hope Reformed church in Sutton, with Rev. Darrell Kingswood officiating. Special music was "I Know Whom I have Believed," "Com Thou Almighty King," congregational singing and duet, "The Old Rugged Cross" by Connie Johnson and bill Richards. David Kauk was organist. Pallbearers were Mike Ely, Dean Hansen, Eldon Adams, Ted Griess, Lorraine Hofmann, and Mark Brown. Interment was in the Grafton Cemetery in Grafton. The Nebraska Signal December 8th, 2004 page 9.
