Description	:	Dorothy Belle Ferebee, the twin daughter of Ernest and Louvinia (Moon)Wroughton, was born on March 20, 1920 on the home place north of Nelson, Nebraska. She passed away on May 14, 2009 at the Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 89 years, 1 month and 24 days. Read More	Dorothy Belle Ferebee, the twin daughter of Ernest and Louvinia (Moon)Wroughton, was born on March 20, 1920 on the home place north of Nelson, Nebraska. She passed away on May 14, 2009 at the Brodstone Memorial Hospital in Superior, Nebraska at the age of 89 years, 1 month and 24 days. Dot, as she was known, was baptized as a teenager at the United Brethern Church five miles north of Nelson, and when it dissolved, transferred to the Nelson Presbyterian Church. She than became a member of the Nelson Community United Church of Christ. She graduated from Nelson High School in 1937. Dot was united in marriage to Joseph Goodrich Ferebee on August 13, 1939 at her parents' home north of Nelson. This union was blessed with two daughters Suzanne Jane and Barbara Jean. She lived most of her life in and around Nelson, except three years at Neah Bay, Washington. They farmed for many years north of Nelson, later moving into town in 1979. In 1989 Dot and Joe celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. She was active in church and community affairs, and was a member of the Nelson Chapter P.E.O, past patron and 50 year member of the Nelson Chapter 27 Order of the Easter Star, Home Improvement Club, and Peace Circle. She also was a 4-H leader, Sunday school teacher and church organist for many years. Dot was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe on May 6, 1991; twin sister, Theda Kramer and infant sister Audrey, brothers Wayne and Junior "J.B."; and son-in-law Michael Clabaugh. She is survived by her daughters, Suzanne Mosier and husband Wayne of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Barbara (Clabaugh) Pugh and husband Ken of Bartlett, Illinois; 2 grandchildren, Alicia (Mosier) Chesser and husband Steve, and Adam Clabaugh; 2 step-granddaughters, Melissa Pugh and Amanda (Pugh) Stout; 3 great-grandchildren, Peter, Audrey and John Chesser; brother-in-law, Vaden Kramer of Nelson, Nebraska; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Memorial services were held on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 10:00 AM from the Nelson Community United Church of Christ in Nelson, Nebraska with Rev. Dr. Stephen Berry officiating. Music was congregational hymns "How Great Thou Art" "In The Garden," and "Amazing Grace," with Carlita Erickson as the organist. Tributes by Suzanne Mosier and Barbara Pugh and the Eastern Star Service conducted by the Nelson Chapter 27. Inurnment at a later date in the Nelson Cemetery at Nelson, Nebraska.
