Description	:	Joseph Goodrich Ferebee, son of Joe Wilford Ferebee and Anna Geneve (Goodrich) Ferebee, was born on a farm north of Nelson, Nebraska, on July 22, 1916, and was called from this earthly life on May 6, 1991. Joe attended rural school, Pleasant View and Shiloh, north of Nelson and graduated Nelson High School in 1935. Read More	Joseph Goodrich Ferebee, son of Joe Wilford Ferebee and Anna Geneve (Goodrich) Ferebee, was born on a farm north of Nelson, Nebraska, on July 22, 1916, and was called from this earthly life on May 6, 1991. Joe attended rural school, Pleasant View and Shiloh, north of Nelson and graduated Nelson High School in 1935. He lived his entire life in and around Nelson, except three years in Neah Bay, Washington, and from 1942 to 1945 while serving in the United States Navy, during World War II. He was a member and Past Master of Nelson Masonic Lodge No. 77 A.F. & A.M., and the Nelson Community United Church of Christ, had served on the R.E.A. Board, and County Committee for A.S.C.S., hunted and collected arrowheads, enjoyed singing in the church choir and it son for many funerals. He enjoyed his Masonic work, and love spending time with his family. He was united in marriage on August 13, 1939 to Dorothy Wroughton at her parents home north of Nelson. This union was blessed with two daughters, Suzanne and Barbara. He was preceded in death by his parents. Joe is survived by his wife Dorothy of Nelson; his two daughters, Suzanne and her husband Wayne Mosier of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, and Barbara Clabaugh of Bartlett, Illinois; two grandchildren, Alicia Mosier and Adam Clabaugh; two brothers, Orin Ferebee and wife Maxine of The Dallas, Oregon, and Ralph Ferebee and wife Genese of Red Cloud, Nebraska; a sister, Ruth Hessey and husband Sid of Yakima, Washington; nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends. Memorial services were held Saturday, May 11, 1991 at 2:30 p.m. from the Nelson Community United Church of Christ in Nelson, Nebraska, with Rev. Royce Buchtel officiating. Music was provided by the church choir singing "He Lives" and "Walking in the King's Hiway" with Mary Statz as a company asked. A congregational hymn of "This Is My Father's World" was sung by Jan Schnitker as organist. Klawitter-Price Funeral Home of Nelson was in charge of the arrangements.
