Dorothy Rose Ingersoll, the daughter of Roy Everet and Vera Ruth (Portz) Call was born Feb. 21, 1923, at Sidney. She was the youngest of four children. Read More	Dorothy Ingersoll 1923 to 2009 Dorothy Ingersoll, 86, of Julesburg, Colo., died Monday evening, June 1, 2009, at the Sedgwick County Nursing Home in Julesburg. Dorothy Rose Ingersoll, the daughter of Roy Everet and Vera Ruth (Portz) Call was born Feb. 21, 1923, at Sidney. She was the youngest of four children. When she was a small child, she went to the St. Paul's Lutheran School until the third grade when she transferred to the Sidney public schools. She graduated from Sidney High School in 1940. On Sept. 13, 1941, she married Don Ingersoll in Chappell. They moved to the Ingersoll farm east of Chappell and worked side by side on the farm and doing custom work. When not working on the farm, they enjoyed traveling. They were the parents of three children, all who graduated from Chappell High School. Also dear to her heart are a nephew, Eddie, and a niece, Jeanette Dorman of Sidney. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Sidney and later attended the Foursquare Church in Chappell for many years. When they built their new home in Julesburg in 1975, they started attending the Big Springs Assembly of God Church, where they attended regularly. She is survived by her three children, Keith and wife Linda Ingersoll of Harbor City, Calif., Donna and husband Allen Jensen of Kearney, and Rick and wife Terry Ingersoll of Chappell. Also surviving are six grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years on Dec. 12, 2002; her parents; two sisters; one brother; and two grandchildren, Thomas Ingersoll and Tonia Gordon. Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, June 5, in the Assembly of God Church in Big Springs with the Rev. Chris Wadle officiating. Private family graveside services will be in the Chappell Cemetery.
