Burial will be in the family plot at Chappell under the direction of Holechek Funeral Home in Chappell. Memorials may be made to the 180 Youth Center in Chappell. Don was born in Raymond, Neb., April 19, 1921. He was the third of four sons born to Richard Herman and Mildred Dunham Ingersoll. He attended the White Chapel school, a one room school near Raymond. In 1931 the family moved west and settled on a farm east of Chappell. He graduated from the one room Swan School in 1935 after completing the eighth grade. On Sept. 13, 1941 he married Dorothy Call of Sidney in a simple ceremony in Chappell. They were the parents of two sons and one daughter, Keith, Donna and Rick. Don attended the Foursquare Church in Chappell for many years where he was a member. Later, after moving to Julesburg, he attended the Assembly of God Church in Big Springs regularly. He spent his entire life farming until illness forced him to retire. Don lived on the farm until building a new home with his son Rick in 1975 in Julesburg. One of his main aims was to see that their children received a good education and all are college graduates. He is survived by his wife Dorothy of Julesburg; son Keith and wife Linda of Harbor City, Calif.; daughter Donna Jensen and husband Allen of Minden. Neb.; son Rick and wife Terry of Chappell; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brother Lyle and wife Barbara of Bee, Neb., and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Dutch and Mildred Ingersoll; brothers Otis and Dale and one grandson, Tom.
