Description	:	Dorothy Hirsch, 82, Breckenridge, died Tuesday, January 22, at Innovis Hospital with her family by her bedside. Dorothy was born in Hunter, ND on July 1, 1925, to Chester & Gladys (See) Dohman. She grew up & attended Greenfield Consolidated School & Hunter High School until she was 17 years old. The family then moved to Breckenridge where she graduated from high school in 1943. Read More	Dorothy Hirsch, 82, Breckenridge, died Tuesday, January 22, at Innovis Hospital with her family by her bedside. Dorothy was born in Hunter, ND on July 1, 1925, to Chester & Gladys (See) Dohman. She grew up & attended Greenfield Consolidated School & Hunter High School until she was 17 years old. The family then moved to Breckenridge where she graduated from high school in 1943. Dorothy then attended Western Union telegraph school in Fargo & worked for Western Union in Cleveland, OH, for 1 year & Los Angeles, CA, for 6 months. She then returned to Fargo & worked for Western Union until she retired in 1975. She enjoyed working for Western Union & found the work interesting. Dorothy married Albert Hirsch on September 25, 1956, in Sisseton, SD. They lived in Fargo until 1981 when they moved to Pelican Lake near Detroit Lakes. Dorothy continued living near Pelican Lake until November of 1997 when she moved to the York Manor in Breckenridge. Dorothy enjoyed playing cards, visiting & traveling, especially her annual trips to Texas to visit relatives. She always had a cat for a pet & enjoyed all cats. Dorothy is survived by her nieces & nephews, Michael (Pam) Dohman, Breckenridge; Cathy (Gerald) Nordick, Rothsay; Cindy (Joe) Braun, Mooreton, ND; Mark (Mary) Dohman, Watertown, SD; sister-in-law, Marge (Allan) Ehlers, Breckenridge. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, & her 2 brothers, Ralph & Clayton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 26, at 11:00am at Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, with visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Presbyterian Cemetery Hunter, ND at a later date.
