Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Jesse "Jack" and Annie Lou Autrey Ross. Dot was a homemaker who loved reading and enjoyed doing ceramics and Garden Club. She was a member of Mauldin First Baptist Church and a former member of Friendly Avenue Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC. Survivors include two children, Scott Harkins and wife Jane, and Kim Leonard and husband Al; four grandchildren, Tyler and Sydney Harkins, and Parker and Payton Leonard; two sisters, Ann McIlvain and... Read More	Dorothy "Dot" Ross Harkins, 89 of Greenville, widow of Carroll Harkins, died Wednesday, December 7, 2016. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Jesse "Jack" and Annie Lou Autrey Ross. Dot was a homemaker who loved reading and enjoyed doing ceramics and Garden Club. She was a member of Mauldin First Baptist Church and a former member of Friendly Avenue Baptist Church in Greensboro, NC. Survivors include two children, Scott Harkins and wife Jane, and Kim Leonard and husband Al; four grandchildren, Tyler and Sydney Harkins, and Parker and Payton Leonard; two sisters, Ann McIlvain and husband Bob of Greenwood, and Pat Coker of Olympia, WA and one brother, Jerry Ross and wife Paulette of Greenwood. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast Chapel, with visitation to follow until 1:00 PM. The family would like to give special thanks to the LTC Agape caregivers and Agape Hospice for the love and care shown their mother. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be make to Mauldin First Baptist Church, 150 S. Main Street, Mauldin, SC 29662.
