| Description | : | Dorothy died in January just a week shy of her 96th birthday. Daughter of Lela and Fred Tugwell. Dorothy was one of the first 47 young women of the Women’s Army Corps for commissions as a physical therapist, receiving gold bars as a lieutenant. She met her husband, Robert, while both were serving in the Army while stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington. Dot would not marry Robert until he became an officer. They married in May of 1945. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Robert Gulbransen, Sr.; two sons; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Bob and Dots ashes will be interred at Tulocay Cemetery... Read More |
