Description	:	The funeral for Grace Altringer Nelson, 80, Valley City, will be at 10:30am Monday in St. Catherine's Catholic Church, Valley City, with the Rev. Len Burckhard officiating. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery in Wimbledon at 1:30pm Monday. Visitation is from 1 to 7pm Sunday at the funeral home and one hour before services at the church. She died Wednesday, August 14, 1991. Dorothy Grace Romelfanger was born April 4, 1911, at Kensal, the daughter of Nicholas and Lula Romelfanger. She grew up near Kensal and attended rural school. On January 6, 1936, she married Alois Altringer at Wimbledon. They farmed in the Wimbledon area. He died in 1941 and she moved to Valley City where she was employed by the Sheyenne Care Center as a nursing aide for many years. She married Ray Nelson in 1981 in Valley City. He died in 1983. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Clair and Charles Harland, Mapleton, ND; and Marge and Ronald Ringuette, Jamestown, ND; four sisters, Merle Willenbring, Aurora, MN; Rose Romelfanger and Pearl Wittenberg, both of Valley City, ND; and Laura Miklas, Kensel, ND; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
