Description	:	Dorothy Irene (Lindberg) Lang, daughter of Reuben L. and Veda Wenstrand Lindberg, was born February 5, 1917 in Page County, rural Essex, Iowa. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Essex High School in 1934. She attended nurse’s trainman at the Covenant Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska and became a Registered Nurse in 1937. Following her education she worked at the Murphy Memorial Hospital in Red Oak. On December 25, 1939 Dorothy was united in marriage with Charles Lang at the Covenant Church in Essex. Read More	Dorothy Irene (Lindberg) Lang, daughter of Reuben L. and Veda Wenstrand Lindberg, was born February 5, 1917 in Page County, rural Essex, Iowa. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Essex High School in 1934. She attended nurse’s trainman at the Covenant Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska and became a Registered Nurse in 1937. Following her education she worked at the Murphy Memorial Hospital in Red Oak. On December 25, 1939 Dorothy was united in marriage with Charles Lang at the Covenant Church in Essex. Following their marriage they lived in Lawrence Kansas where she was a nurse for the University of Kansas Hospital for three years before they moved back to Essex to make their home. Through the years Dorothy worked at the Hand Community Hospital in Shenandoah, was a nurse at the Shenandoah Medical Clinic and most recently was the Essex School Nurse for several years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Faith Covenant Church, Covenant Women, PEO, and The Tomorrow Club. She is survived by her husband, Charles Lang of Essex, a son, Stephen Lang of Seattle, Washington; a daughter, Susan and her husband Larry Miller of Cedar Falls, Iowa; four grandchildren, Lisa Miller, Christine Lang, Brent Miller, Stephanie Lang; one sister, Loreen Burrichter of Shenandoah; and a number of other relatives.
