Description	:	WAYNE, Neb. -- Dorothy Fegley, 91, of Wayne died Friday, Aug. 8, 2008, at Wakefield Care Center in Wakefield, Neb. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Wayne. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery, Allen, Neb. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present 5 to 8 p.m., at Hasemann-Schumacher Funeral Home in Wayne. Visitation will be 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with the family present 5 to 8 p.m., at Hasemann-Schumacher Funeral Home in Wayne. Dorothy Iva Fegley was born April 9, 1917, in Allen, Neb., to Charles and Alma (Schroeder) Ellis. She graduated from Allen High School in 1935. She joined the Allen Lutheran Church in 1937. She married Clayton Fegley on July 18, 1941. They farmed south of Allen for 15 years, then moved to Oregon and lived there from 1956 to 1969. She received her American dental certified assistants degree through the University of Portland School of Dentistry, taking her state boards in 1959. She worked for 10 years for Laborer Local and Building Trades in Medford, Ore. She was pensioned from the International Union of Washington, D.C. The couple returned to Ponca, Neb., where they purchased Rakow's Wholesale Business. After selling the business, they lived for a brief period in southern California. They moved to Wayne in 1976. She worked for First National Bank insurance division in Wayne for more than two years. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran church, Professional Business Women and was an active member of the Senior Citizens Volunteer Group. She is survived by a son and his wife, Marty and Barbara Fegley of Torrance, Calif.; a brother, Gaylen Ellis of Lakewood, Calif.; a sister and her husband, Darlene and Harold Von Minden of Martinsburg, Neb.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Clayton in 2004; two brothers; and three sisters. Memorials may be directed to Wakefield Health Care Center.
