Burial will follow at Twin Mound Cemetery northeast of Overbrook. Mrs. Faust died Friday, July 5, 1996, at a Topeka hospital. She was born May 30, 1925, in Valley Brook, the daughter of Jefferson B. and Stella Marie Riley Rice. She attended Valley Brook grade school, graduated from Overbrook Rural High School in 1943 and received her teaching certificate from Washburn University. She taught at Pancake Rural School northeast of Overbrook for two years and worked at Hallmark Cards in Topeka. She and her husband farmed northeast of Overbrook. She was a member of Overbrook United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women of Overbrook. She also was a member of Twin Mound Grange, Kansas State Grange and a seventh-degree member of the National Grange. She also was a member of Clinton Historical Society. She married Ira Junior Faust on Aug. 3, 1946, in Topeka. He survives, of the home. Other survivors include three sons, Bruce Faust and Bernie Faust, both of Overbrook, and Brian Faust, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; a daughter, Janet Faust, Wichita; two brothers, Wayne Rice, Ava, Mo., and Carl Rice, Burlingame; three sisters, Velma Smidt, Overbrook, Gladys Giffin, Pittsburg, and Mary Ann Minor, Salt Lake City; and three grandchildren Sunday, July 7, 1996 ljworld
