Description	:	Mrs. William Griffin; Hot Lunch Worker Mrs. William (Dorothy) Griffin, 51, died Wednesday in Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Griffin had lived on a farm in Cherokee Township for the past 14 years, and prior to that in the Quimby area. Dorothy Benson was born September 9, 1927, in Cherokee County. On July 25, 1945, she married William W. Griffin at Worthington, Minnesota. Mrs. Griffin worked for the Cherokee Community Schools in the hot lunch program the past twelve years. She was a member of Saint Paul's United Methodist Church and a church circle. Survivors include her husband; a son, Robert, Quimby; daughters, Mrs. Michael (Janet) Lux, Cherokee; and Cynthia at home; three grandchildren; brothers Carl, Vernon, Walter, and Harold, all of Cherokee; Bob, Minneapolis, Minnesota; and John in California, and Sisters, Mrs. Kenneth (Olga) Bern, and Mrs. Lawrence (Norma) Hanson, both of Cherokee. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister. Services will be Saturday at 3 PM in the Boothby Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Davis officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
