Visitation will be one hour prior to services Friday at the funeral home. Lorraine was born Feb. 23, 1920 in Sioux City, the daughter of Earle and Gladys (Jepson West. She graduated from Central High School in 1938, then worked as a commercial artist. She designed the original bunny logo for Well’s Blue Bunny. She was employed by a photography studio, Younker’s Department Store and for a short time at Sportman’s On Nov. 28, 1940, she married Glenn E. Beaubien in Sioux City. He died in March 1996 in Sioux City. In her early years, she was a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She and her husband Glenn were active in the Jaycees. She was a den mother for the boy Scouts and volunteered for other projects. Her primary interest were arts and crafts; she was active in the Y-Wives, now known as Siouxland Crafters. She also enjoyed gardening and reading. Survivors include two sons and their wives, Tom and Ruth Beaubien of Wentsville, Mo., and Steven and Janann Beaubien of Tea, S. D., three grandchildren, Glenn “Beau” (Kelly) Beaubien, Todd Beaubien and Jenee Lorraine (Dan) Boetel; seven great-grandchildren and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. Memorial may be made in her name to Hospice of Siouxland.
