Description	:	Funeral services for Dorothy Louise Dykstra, 83, of Spencer, formerly of Everly, will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Hope Reformed Church, Spencer. Mrs. Dykstra died Monday at the St. Luke Lutheran Home, Spencer. The Rev. Al Moss will officiate at the services for Mrs. Dykstra, and burial will be at the First Reformed Cemetery, Everly. Mrs. Dykstra died Monday at the St. Luke Lutheran Home, Spencer. The Rev. Al Moss will officiate at the services for Mrs. Dykstra, and burial will be at the First Reformed Cemetery, Everly. Mrs. Dykstra was born December 10, 1902 in Hospers. Her family later moved to Tappen, North Dakota and then Parker and Monroe, South Dakota. She married Adrian Micheal (Ed) Dykstra on January 16, 1924 in Monroe. They farmed for 10 years near Monroe before moving to a farm near Everly in 1934. Mrs. Dykstra was an active member of the First Reformed Church of Fostoria and later at the Hope Reformed of Spencer. She also participated in Farm Bureau and enjoyed knitting and crocheting and crafts. She had been a resident of St. Luke's since suffering a stroke in October, 1985. Preceding her in death were a son, Lawrence Jacob, who died in childhood; and two grandchildren. Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Dorothy Marie Galm of Moneta and Betty Jane Bonker of Brownsville, Texas; three sons, Elmer Adrian of Spencer, Vernon Bernard of Hartley and Lester William of Everly; 20 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
