Mrs. Woodburn was born Dec. 15, 1921, in rural Germanville, the daughter of Edgar Terry and Gladys Faye Lyons Lynn. She married H. Sterling Woodburn May 24, 1942, in Memphis, Mo. She graduated from Lockridge High School in 1940. She was a homemaker and lived in Eldon for the last seven years. She previously lived in rural Batavia and was a member or People' Church. Survivors include her husband; one son, Dennis Sterling Woodburn of Eldon; two daughters, Carolyn Rae Klaus of Ames and Marla Sue Lagoski of Leavenworth, Kan.; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one infant son, Daryl Lynn Woodburn. ------------- Note: Son Daryl Lynn Woodburn is buried in Memorial Lawn cemetery in Fairfield, Iowa. At some point a pre-need headstone was put in place beside him for Hugh Sterling Woodburn and Dorothy Lucille Lynn Woodburn, evidently anticipating their burial in the same plot. That headstone remains as of May 26, 2013, but Hugh and Dorothy are physically buried in Batavia cemetery as per their respective obituaries.
