Description	:	Dorothy L. Miller, 95, died at 1:25 p.m. Aug. 29, 2010, at Lima Manor Nursing Home. She was born April 18, 1915, in Lima to John and Rachel Wiggins, who preceded her in death. On Jan. 24, 1936, she married Martin Hefner, and they later divorced. On Oct. 15, 1959, she married George "Curly" Miller, who died April 7, 1998. Mrs. Miller had worked at DWG Cigar Factory and at Renz's Bakery. She was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 Auxiliary and the Military Order of Cooties Auxiliary. When asked how she was she always replied "fat and sassy." This earned her the nickname of Miss Fat and Sassy. Survivors include a daughter, Pat (Michael) Ireland, of Lima; twin grandsons, Craig (Michelle) Cummings and Chris (Gina) Cummings; four great-grandchildren, Brienne Williams and Colin, Brian and Kevin Cummings; and two sisters-in-law, Elaine Miller and Gretchen Whetstone. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home. Chaplain Dick Coon will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where a VFW service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. The family would like to thank the staff of Lima Manor Nursing Home for their loving care and devotion.
