She was born in September of 1920 in Templeton, CA., and was the daughter of Clara Goetsch and Herman Robert Goetsch. Dorothy graduated from Templeton High School in 1938. Read More	On Friday, 11 December 2015, Dorothy Mae (Goetsch) Dunlap, 95, passed away in San Luis Obispo, California. She was born in September of 1920 in Templeton, CA., and was the daughter of Clara Goetsch and Herman Robert Goetsch. Dorothy graduated from Templeton High School in 1938. She attended a two year curriculum, majoring in Merchandising at San Jose State. After Pearl Harbor, she did not return to school and became a Cashier at the Exchange Office at Camp Roberts. It was there Dorothy met and married Raymond E. Dunlap in 1943. One year later Judy Dunlap was born, just six weeks before Raymond was sent to serve in the Pacific. Raymond was a medic and served with his identical twin brother Ron Dunlap until 1945. Raymond and Ron worked for the Fortini Beer Distributors as drivers. Within a few years, Raymond started his own business, as a beer distributor. His business grew and he owned three warehouses, one in Paso Robles, Santa Maria and the home office in San Luis Obispo. Dorothy worked as the business manager while raising her family. In the early 1970's Dorothy bought the franchise known as Trend O' Fashion, later renamed Revelation which she owned for ten years. Her business was always in the top three of 27 stores and she retired at age 77. Raymond being a Charter Member of the Mustang Boosters football program at Cal Poly. They were also Charter Members of the San Luis Country Club. They were also active in the Elks Lodge and the Dine and Dance Club. In 1959 Dorothy and Raymond bought a home, their final home in the San Luis Drive. Mrs. Dunlap is survived by her two children, Judy Dunlap and Jerry Dunlap. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clara Goetsch and Herman Robert Goetsch, her husband of 68 years, Raymond E. Dunlap, only sister, Roberta (Goetsch) Miller Deming and her two brothers, Howard R. Goetsch and Leroy Goetsch.
