Dorothy was born April 3, 1926, in a log cabin near Barnett, Missouri, the daughter of Edward and Minnie (Kays) Jobe. On April 10, 1948 Dorothy was united in marriage to Merlin Charles Hackman, in Jefferson City, Missouri. Merlin preceded her in death on October 2, 1973. Read More	Dorothy Mae Hackman March 31, 2021: Dorothy Mae Hackman, 94, passed from her earthly home and accended the steps of Heaven, on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at Kingdom Care Living Center in Fulton, Missouri. Dorothy was born April 3, 1926, in a log cabin near Barnett, Missouri, the daughter of Edward and Minnie (Kays) Jobe. On April 10, 1948 Dorothy was united in marriage to Merlin Charles Hackman, in Jefferson City, Missouri. Merlin preceded her in death on October 2, 1973. The couple moved to Fulton in 1948 when Merlin took a job as an accountant at the Fulton State Hospital. Over the years Dorothy worked at various times for Westminster College, Fulton State Hospital and for David Shively CPA. Dorothy was a faithful and active member of First Baptist Church in Fulton for almost seventy years. She also served as a board member for the Fulton Medical Center Auxiliary and Presbyterian Manor. Dorothy was a loving mom and grandmother whose Christian faith touched many people. She loved faithfully prayed for each member of her family on a daily basis. Survivors include her son, Bruce Hackman of Fulton, Missouri; two daughters, Barbara Feyerabend (Thomas) of Blue Springs, Missouri and Marilyn Paugh of Katy, Texas; eight grandchildren, David Feyerabend (Rachel) of Kansas City, Missouri, Matthew Feyerabend (Meghan) of Siloam Springs, Arkansas, Nathan Feyerabend (Marci) of Overland Park, Kansas, Eric Paugh of Denver, Colorado, Mark Paugh of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Alex Paugh (Abigale) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Lindsey Hackman of Columbia, Missouri, Meredith Hackman of Columbia, Missouri and Meridith Hackman of Columbia, Missouri. Six great-grandchildren, Lydia, Liam, Nora, Owen, Luke and Lainey. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband of twenty-five years, Melvin; one sister, Lorene Martin; four brothers, Ray Jobe, Edward Jobe, Paul Jobe and Dillard Jobe; son-in-law, Steve Paugh and a daughter-in-law, Debra (Mouser) Hackman. Visitation held on Monday, March 5, 2021, from 10:00am until 11:00am at First Baptist Church in Fulton. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at the church with Reverend Martin Stukenborg officiating. Burial will follow in Callaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery and Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church in care of Debo Funeral Home in Fulton.
