A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, at First Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. Arrangements with Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Dorothy was born July 8, 1923, in Victor, Iowa, the daughter of William and Esther (Veverka) Schlesselman. She married Gordon Davis in 1954. in Arkansas. Gordon passed away in 1967. Dorothy is survived by her sister, Thelma Van Zele; several nieces; nephews; and stepchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon; her parents; and infant sister, Violet Schlesselman.
