She was preceded in death by her Parents, and 2 sisters, Esther Riedel and Gertrude Owen. Dorothy Marie Prull was born April 8, 1923 at Langworthy, Iowa. She was the daughter of Gerd and Annchen Reuter, Prull. She received h er early education in the Langworthy Schools. Dorothy graduated from the Monticello Community Schools with the class of 1941. She then attended the Cedar Rapids Business College. Dorothy Marie Prull and Marvin Jansen were married May 26, 1943 at the Wayne Zion Lutheran Church, rural Monticello. The couple lived in Marion, Iowa for several years where Dorothy was a secretary for Gordon Hatchery. In the fall of 1949 they moved to Creston, Iowa where Dorothy started her career as a Avon Lady. In 1963 the couple returned to the Monticello Community and Dorothy continued selling Avon products. In 1963 the couple returned to the Monticello Community and Dorothy continued selling Avon products. Dorothy was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, and the W.E.L.C.A.. She had also been a member of the Monticello Golf Club, Monticello Campfire and was a Cub Scout Den Mother. Dorothy's courage and spirit was an inspiration to her family and friends. A memorial fund has been established.
