Services are 10:30 AM, Monday, November 16, 2015, at St. Michaels Catholic Church, Belle Plaine with Deacon Joe Behounek officiating. Visitation is Monday, one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery, Belle Plaine, IA. She graduated from Keystone High School in 1938. On September 28, 1939 she was married to Wilfred Drahos of Belle Plaine. To this union four children were born. Dorothy was a homemaker during the early years of her marriage and eventually took on an active role in the family shoe business when it moved to its present location in 1953. Dorothy had a compassionate heart and a deep commitment to her family and friends. She will be remembered as an excellent cook and hostess, entertaining her family especially during the holiday season. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah “Deb” Walton; sons, Donald (Bev) Drahos and Daniel (Deb) Drahos all of Belle Plaine; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Wilfred; son, Dennis; granddaughter, Elizabeth Anne, son-in-law, Kenneth Walton; sister, Ruby, and brothers Russell, Don and Herman Jr.
