Born Sept. 23, 1922, in Brandenberg, she was the daughter of George C. and Floy Barbour Goodale. Mrs. Tadsen grew up in the Brandenberg area and was educated in Forsyth where she graduated. Together they made their home on the A.P. Webb ranch where... Read More	Dorothy R. Tadsen, 81, of Forsyth, passed away on Friday, April 23, 2004, at the Rosebud Health Care Center in Forsyth. Born Sept. 23, 1922, in Brandenberg, she was the daughter of George C. and Floy Barbour Goodale. Mrs. Tadsen grew up in the Brandenberg area and was educated in Forsyth where she graduated. Following graduation, she continued her education at Eastern Montana College in Billings. She and Walter W. Tadsen were united in marriage on June 29, 1942, in Crow Agency. Together they made their home on the A.P. Webb ranch where he was a foreman. While there, Mrs. Tadsen began her teaching career in the Beaver Creek School on Sarpy Creek. She taught there 11 years and later taught in the Forsyth school system for the next 27 years as the district librarian until she retired. During her life, Mrs. Tadsen was very involved and active in the Order of the Eastern Star, holding many offices at the local and state level including Worthy Grand Matron. She loved life and people of all walks. Mrs. Tadsen especially loved her grandchildren and enjoyed traveling throughout the state, watching them in their school functions. Her survivors include her son, Walt Tadsen II, and his wife, Linda, of Forsyth; two grandsons, Cody and Casey; one great-grandson, Jared Andrew Mack of Billings; her nephew, John Goodale; and great-nieces and great-nephews Wade Fleming, Ginger Flemming-Nangle, Flint Fleming, Jason, Joel and Jennifer Goodale. Survivors also include her cousin, Sadie Brewer; Ed Davis; and sisters-in-law, Migon Tadsen and Louise Fleming. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Walter W.; and her brother, Hank. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home of Forsyth. Burial will be in the Forsyth Cemetery, Forsyth, MT. Memorials may be made to the Rosebud County Museum or the Rosebud County Library in Forsyth.
