Description	:	Douglas ‘Doug’ Arthur Taylor, 63, of Wymore, Nebraska, passed away Monday, November 16, 2015, in Marysville, Kansas. Doug was born December 28, 1951 in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Arthur and Blythe (Douglas) Taylor. He attended and graduated from Southern High School in 1970, and attended Fairbury Junior College. While in high school, Doug was an exceptional football player, and played while he attended Fairbury Junior College. Doug enlisted in the Army following his time at Fairbury Junior College, and served for a number of years in the Army Reserve. He married Barbara Hale in 1972, and they were later divorced. Doug farmed... Read More	Douglas ‘Doug’ Arthur Taylor, 63, of Wymore, Nebraska, passed away Monday, November 16, 2015, in Marysville, Kansas. Doug was born December 28, 1951 in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Arthur and Blythe (Douglas) Taylor. He attended and graduated from Southern High School in 1970, and attended Fairbury Junior College. While in high school, Doug was an exceptional football player, and played while he attended Fairbury Junior College. Doug enlisted in the Army following his time at Fairbury Junior College, and served for a number of years in the Army Reserve. He married Barbara Hale in 1972, and they were later divorced. Doug farmed for several years before moving to Colorado where he worked construction. He returned to the Wymore area 10 years ago, and drove a semi until his health wouldn’t allow him. Doug was a former member of the Wymore United Methodist Church, and the Liberty American Legion. Doug is survived by his mother, Blythe, of Beatrice, Nebraska, his sons, Jacob and Daniel Graham, of Oklahoma, his sister, Debra Kier, and her husband, Roger, of Wymore, nieces, Amy Parde, and her husband, Eric of Adams, Nebraska, Angela Henrichs, and her husband, Aaron, of Oregon, nephew, Brian Kier, and his wife, Amber, of Beatrice. He is also survived by several grandchildren. Doug is preceded in death by his father, Art. Services will be held 10:30 AM Friday November 20, 2015, at the Laughlin-Hoevet Funeral Home, with Jon Palmquist officiating. Interment will be at the Liberty Cemetery following the service. Memorials are suggested to the Liberty American Legion with the funeral home in charge. Please sign Doug’s online guest book at www.ghchapel.com.
