Dundas, 69, president of the Great Falls National Bank for 15 years before retiring in 1864, died Sunday afternoon of an apparent heart attack at his home on Flathead Lake. Dundas, Ex-Bank Head, Is Stricken, Dies Douglas J. Dundas, 69, president of the Great Falls National Bank for 15 years before retiring in 1864, died Sunday afternoon of an apparent heart attack at his home on Flathead Lake. Dundas, who retired as a director of the bank in 1968, reportedly was mowing his lawn when stricken. He was rushed by ambulance to St. Joseph's Hospital in Polson from his Finley Point home. Born in Argyle, Minn., on July 24, 1899, he started his 47-year banking career with the Farmers and Merchants Bank there in 1917. After serving in the World War I, he worked in banks at Melstone and Musselshell. In 1925 he joined the Miners and Merchants Bank where he was president and director from 1937-1946, at the same time was vice president and director of the Great Falls National Bank. Became vice president and manager of Yakima Valley Branch of the Seattle First National Bank, Yakima, 1946-1949, when he was elected president of the Great Falls bank. Survivors include the widow, the former Mrs. Agnes Harris of Fort Benton, whom he married in 1961; sons, Dean D. Dundas, Charlotte, N. C., and John Dundas, Rye, N. Y.; daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Coliton, Baltimore, MD; daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Coliton, Baltimore, MD; stepson, John Harris, Helena; stepdaughter, Mrs. Carol O'Neil, Missoula; sisters, Miss Grace Dundas and Mrs. Carl Lindstrand, both of Redondo, Wash.; a brother, Gordon Dundas, Port Orchard, Wash.; and ten grandchildren. Dundas' first wife, Adena, preceded him in death in Dec. 1958.
