Hanna, 51, of New Tripoli, Pennsylvania, and formerly of the Oskaloosa area, died Monday, January 8, 2007, at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, at Salisbury Township, Pennsylvania. He was born August 28, 1955 at Oskaloosa, the son of Ervin and Marcene Dykstra Hanna. He made his profession of faith at the Central Reformed Church in Oskaloosa. He was born August 28, 1955 at Oskaloosa, the son of Ervin and Marcene Dykstra Hanna. He made his profession of faith at the Central Reformed Church in Oskaloosa. He graduated from the Fremont (IA) High School. Following high school, he farmed with his father until moving to Omaha, Nebraska, where he attended flight school. On August 20, 1977, Doug was united in marriage to Lori M. Vickroy at Omaha. He was an airline transport pilot for Continental Airlines for 19 years and in the aviation business for 30 years. He was a member of the Ziegels United Church of Christ, Breinigsville, PA., where he served on the consistory for nine years, two years of which as president. He also sang in the choir. Doug was a Boy Scouts leader for Troop 72, Fogelsville, PA., and formerly of Troop 380 in Omaha. His family includes his wife, Lori Hanna of New Tripoli, Pennsylvania; two sons: Jason D. and Joshua A. Hanna; a daughter: Molly L. Hanna, all at home; his parents: Ervin and Marcene Hanna of Cedar, Iowa; a brother: Duane (& Sheryl) Hanna of Post Falls, Idaho; and two sisters: Diane (& Mike) Darland of Fremont, Iowa and Darla (& Doug) Keast of Altoona, Iowa. Doug was preceded in death by his grandparents; and a niece, Ashley Darland.
