Doug was born on September 19, 1941 at Watertown, South Dakota to Raymond and Harriet (LaFramboise) Kluck. Doug attended and graduated from Watertown High School in 1959. He was "Chief of the Arrows" for the 1958 WHS football team and was a member of the 1958-59 WHS Boys "State A Championship" Basketball team. Doug then attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln on a football scholarship. In 1964, he graduated from the University of Nebraska. He went on to receive a Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa in 1967. Doug married Lee Toie Brashear on August 8, 1964 at Crawford, Nebraska. The couple moved to Watertown, South Dakota in 1967, where Doug began work as a physical therapist. He continued to work in physical therapy until the time of his death. He enjoyed helping people through his profession, as evidenced by the physical therapy services that he provided to Arrow athletes for many years. Thus Doug was inducted into the WHS Arrow Hall of Fame, in 2000, as "A Contributor". Doug was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran Church where he served in various roles. He also was involved in Ducks Unlimited for many years. He enjoyed spending time at Pickerel Lake, golfing, hunting, and traveling overseas. Doug is survived by one son, Mike and his wife, JoDee Kluck of Watertown, South Dakota; two daughters, Tami and her husband, Ron Egerbrecht of Wichita Falls, Texas and Nici and her husband, John Meyer of Lincoln, Nebraska; one brother, Gene and his wife, Lona Kluck of Watertown, South Dakota; two sisters: Jan and her husband, Jack Snow of Fort Collins, Colorado and Pam and her husband, Corky Rice of Bellevue, Nebraska; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements by Crawford Funeral Chapel, Watertown.
