(Jim) Derrow, 62, 859 Stony Point Court, who died Tuesday in Bradenton, Fla. He was born Nov. 21, 1932, in Toledo, the son of H.L. (Shorty) and Ruth (Hull) Derrow. In 1977, he married Carole Sisco, who survives. He was former owner of Jim Derrow Chevrolet and Derrow Chrysler. He started the first automatic car wash in Defiance, was owner of Jim Derrow Leasing in 1979 and owned and operated North Town Estates. U.S. Navy veteran serving in Korea, he was a life member of VFW Post 3360 and a member of Jewell American Legion. He was a member of Elks Lodge 147, the Moose Club and Auglaize Country Club. He was a former member of Kettering County Club and Defiance Rotary and a former board member of the Defiance Area Chamber of Commerce. He was past president of the New Car Dealers Association and a member of AARP. Also surviving are two sons, Dan and Rod, both of Defiance; two daughters, Mrs. Don (Cheryl) Heller and Mrs. Jeff (Beth) Perdue, both of Defiance; a stepson, Greg Reiman, Defiance; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Rodney (Deborah) Lucas, Cecil; a stepmother, Ruth Derrow, Defiance; three sisters, Mrs. Richard (Marilyn) McFeeters, Mrs. Tom (Judy) Stykemain and Mrs. Conrad (Linda) Clippinger, all of Defiance; seven grandchildren and five step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. Services are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Mast-Mock-Hoffman Funeral Home with Rev. Rober Davenport officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Memory Gardens. Visitation is today from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-9 p.m. Preferred memorials are to the American Heart Association, American Caner Society or Hom Health Care of Defiance.
