Dr. Frank was born Jan. 6, 1915, in Hampton, Neb., the son of Holger and Clara H. Nielsen Frank, moving to Rushville, Neb,, with his family two years later. The family farmed in the area and Dr. Frank received his education at Rushville, then attended Colorado A.&M. (now Colorado State University) in Fort Collins, graduating in 1939 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. After graduation he entered into general practice in Sterling until 1971 when he became associated with Schmidt-Allen Livestock and Equipment Co., retiring in 1989 after 50 years of practice. The Colorado Veterinary Medical Association cited Dr. Frank on Sept. 19, 1989, presenting him a plaque marking his 50 years of veterinary medicine service and practice. He served as association president 1958-1959. He married Glorietta Riggs, who died Jan. 15, 1981, and on Feb. 11, 1982, he married Gladys May Hedges in Sterling. Dr. Frank was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association and several other veterinary and livestock organizations. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Frank of Sterling; two daughters, Maeva Carpenter of Hunington Beach, Calif., and Martha Boemer of Fleming; a sister, Pauline M. Frank of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Chaney-Walters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
