Description	:	Donald Eugene Bachand was born August 14, 1929 in Sturgis, South Dakota located in Meade County. Read More	Donald Eugene Bachand was born August 14, 1929 in Sturgis, South Dakota located in Meade County. Sturgis is a little sleepy town now famous for being the location of one of the largest annual motorcycle events in the world. He was the first son born to Andrew Mitchell Bachand and Germani Mary (Egger) Bachand. Him and his younger brother Martin would be raised in Meade County and attend schools there. After high school Donald would go to College to get his Doctorate of Dentistry. He would meet Lianne Kammerer in Meade County. She was the daughter of Joseph "Fritz" and Kathryn (McNenny) Kammerer and was born and raised in Rapid City, Meade County, South Dakota. They were married August 30, 1952 in Rapid City, just before Donald finish College and joined the Air Force. They would return to Sturgis where Donald would continue in the Air Force reserve and he would begin his Dentistry Practice. They would have five children; Barbara, Donald Jr., Hunter, Bryan, and Lynn. They raised the children at Sturgis and his Dentistry is still listed in the telephone books there in the year 1997 at the age of 68. His wife Lianna would pass away in 2002 just four months short of being 50 years of marriage. Donald would pass away on January 2, 2004 at Sturgis at the age of 74. His brother Martin would still be living in Sturgis and his youngest daughter Lynn would live in Spearfish, South Dakota. The rest of the children would be located all over the states. His sons; Donald lives in California, Bryan lives Minnesota and Hunter lives in Washington. His other daughter Barbara Czerwinski lives in Nebraska.
