Copple, 64, prominent orchardist, business, civic and church leader of Omak was fatally injured last Friday while he was operating a tractor. The accident occurred when the plow, which he had hitched to the tractor, hit a stump and the tractor turned over backwards. He survived until 8 am Saturday. Many Attend Services One of the largest funeral crowds ever to attend services in the county assembled Tuesday afternoon at the Presbyterian church in Omak, of which he was a member. Interment was at the Okanogan cemetery between Okanogan and Omak. The deceased came to Okanogan county 31 years ago and homesteaded north of Omak where he set out an orchard. He also practiced dentistry for several of his early years in the county. He served as a school director at Omak for 24 years and was also superintendent of the Presbyterian Sunday school for a nember of years and was an elder in the same church. Dr. Copple was a director in the Wenoka Federation for the past 15 years and has been a president of the organization. He was a member of the Omak Fruit Growers and a director of the Pacific Northwest Fruits, Inc., and of the Okanogan Irrigation district. He is survived by Mrs. Copple and their three sons, Harold of Wenatchee and Denton and Clark of Omak; five brothers, E. R. of Okanogan, I. C. of San Jose, California, Dr. P. R. Copple of Nebraska, and two sisters, Mrs. Ed Smith of Arcadia, Nebraska and Mrs. Clyde Root of Centralia, Illinois. Washington Death Certificate Name Enos E.
