Description | : | MONROE _ Former Pateros resident Clark Burton Copple, 78, of Monroe, died Sunday, Oct. 25, 1992, at home. He was born Feb. 6, 1914, at Omak, where he was raised and educated. He then graduated from Whitworth College. Mr. Copple served in the U.S. Army from 1942 to 1944 during World War II. He then went to work as general manager for Omak Fruit Growers. He became general manager of Methow-Pateros Growers (now operating as Crisp & Spicy) at Pateros in 1947 and continued in that position until he retired in 1984.
